BELLINGHAM, WA, USA - 8 September 2008 - SPIE's Journal of Nanophotonics (JNP) is now included in Thomson Reuters databases including the Science Citation Index Expanded, SPIE has announced.
JNP papers are included beginning with Vol. 1 (2007) in Science Citation Index Expanded; Current Contents/Physical, Chemical & Earth Sciences; and Current Contents/Engineering, Computing & Technology.
JNP is an online-only journal that focuses on the fabrication and application of nanostructures that either generate or manipulate light from the infrared to the ultraviolet regimes.
"The Editorial Board of JNP aims to make it a high-quality, innovative, and progressive research journal of record in a very important research area that is simply exploding and shows no signs of abatement. All aspects of nanophotonics research lie within the journal's scope," said Editor-in-Chief Akhlesh Lakhtakia. "At the same time, the journal reaches out to high school students and teachers, college students, and the scientifically literate public by freely providing simple commentaries on significant topics."
Lakhtakia is the Charles G. Binder (Endowed) Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Pennsylvania State University.
JNP features multimedia (video and audio) content, rapid article-at-a-time publication, and reference linking via CrossRef, and is published in the SPIE Digital Library.
