I did my bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering in Guadalajara, Mexico and I worked for Intel as a Hardware Design Engineer for ~4 years in the Advanced Platform Division. There, I learned about "Silicon Photonics", so I figured the specialization was in Optics and Photonics.
I moved to Germany in 2014 for my master's degree in Optics and Photonics, and I found a job in the 2-photon lithography business thanks to a friend of mine working as a Field Engineer who I met back when I was working with the Optics Students Karlsruhe chapter, as part of the Karlsruhe School of Optics and Photonics in Karlsruhe. After 6 years in the job, I wanted to deepen my knowledge in a similar topic, and I got an opportunity to investigate in the topic of on-chip supercontinuum generation using strongly non-linear novel materials at the Light Technology Institute in Karlsruhe. On my free time, I juggle painting paints and caring for my son. I cook at home on my free time and get angry at video games for not being easy.
