Dr. Michael Strotkamp

My name is Michael STROTKAMP and I'm working as an R&D engineer for tunable laser at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT in Aachen, Germany. I received my Diploma and Dr. degree in Physics from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. I joined the Lasers and Laser Optics department of the Fraunhofer ILT in 2006. Here, I managed serval projects in the field of high power, high pulse energy lasers, nonlinear optics and tunable lasers and worked on the development of airborne and spaceborne laser transmitters. A long-term focus of my work is the development of diode-pumped Alexandrite lasers for novel lidar applications.
