Profile Summary

My professional work includes:
Optical Correlators: Study of Binary Phase Only Filters
Compact Solid Optic Systems: Introduced various methods of folding optical systems, such as correlators, to be compact and vibration resistant. This includes co-authoring a SPIE Critical Review Proceedings Issue on Solid Optics.
Photorefractive Optics: Use double phase conjugators to couple beams with differing wavelengths. Explored the non-linear/chaotic effects of introducing a third input beam into a double phase conjugator. Artificial Neural Networks: Extended Pulse Coupled Neural Networks (PCCNs) to sensor fusion, applied Elman Neural Networks to predict soil moisture as a function of sub-surface depth, developed a ANN called 'DisaggNET' to disaggregate low resolution microwave radiometer data using several high resolution meteorological datasets to obtain high resolution surface soil moisture.
