Profile Summary

My name is Lin Jia, I received my Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology at June 2012 (advisor: Prof. Edwin L. Thomas). Then I become a post-doc in Professor John A. Rogers’ group at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In the past 6 years, my research has led to 1 patent, 7 conference presentations, and 13 papers (8 first-author papers) in peer reviewed journals including Physical Review Letters, Optics Letters, Advanced Functional Materials, and Nature Communications.

I would like to express my interest in serving as a referee for SPIE, to broaden my professional experience and take responsibilities in scientific communities. I hope I could contribute my knowledge and expertise in the following area: optical materials, optical tweezers, plasmonics, nanophotonics, photonic crystals, metamaterials, optical cloak, and photolithography.
