Dr. Jonas Heidrich

Jonas Heidrich received his master’s degree with a focus on semiconductor and superconductor Physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) in 2018. His first journal publication is about thermoelectric effects in superconductor nanostructures on which he worked during his master project. Subsequently, he has started is doctorate studies at ETH Zurich in 2019. His current work is focused on the design and characterization of GaSb SESAMs for various types of lasers, the development of modelocked GaSb semiconductor disk lasers (VECSELs) for the short wavelength infrared to the mid infrared and the characterization of high-speed quantum cascade (QCDs) as well as interband cascade detectors (ICDs).
