Profile Summary

Fred’s first involvement with astronomy projects dates back to 1998 and the development of the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI) delay lines. He was responsible for their mechanical design and assembly, integration and testing. This was followed by other space and ground based astronomy projects, including various subsystems for VLT, TMT and ELT. Fred currently works for TNO as an engineering and management consultant on Laser Guide Stars and Deformable Mirrors.
