Ms. Deaver is a Physicist with fifteen years of professional experience in the characterization, analysis, modeling, and development of electro-optic and infrared imaging systems for military applications. Dawne earned an MS in optics from the University of Rochester in 1996 and a BS in physics from Loyola College in 1994. She has supported Army night vision programs since 2000, first as a contractor with DCS Corp. and currently as a federal employee. She recently spent one year working for the MOD in the United Kingdom through the Engineer and Scientist Exchange Program and would highly recommend this career-broadening experience to any eligible DoD employees. Along with several NVESD colleagues, Dawne was awarded the 2009 Department of the Army M&S Team Award in the Acquisition Category for “Adaptation of the Search and Target Acquisition Model to the Assymetric Threat.”
