Profile Summary

I obtained my PhD degree from ICFO-The Institute of Photonics Sciences in 2015 (Barcelona Spain), after which I worked for three years as postdoctoral researcher at the Structured light laboratory (South Africa). In 2018 I became an associate professor of the Harbin University of Science and Technology (China) and in 2020 a principal investigator at Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica (Mexico). My main research interest involves the generation, characterization and applications of structured light beams where I have contributed with close to 50 research articles in some of the main optics journals. I am currently exploring the use of low-cost devices, such as Digital Micromirror Devices, to make these techniques available to any undergraduate laboratory.
