    New SPIE Fellows recognized in Canada

    Three Canadian researchers were recognized as Fellows of SPIE at the recent Photonics North conference in Montreal.

    SPIE President Eustace Dereniak (College of Optical Sciences, University of Arizona) was on hand to welcome Shen-En Qian (Canadian Space Agency) as a new Fellow of SPIE, and to recognize Roberto Morandotti (Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique) and Xiaoyi Bao (University of Ottawa), who were introduced as Fellows earlier this year. From left below are Morandotti, Qian, Dereniak, and Bao.
