Paper Abstract
This paper suggests a passive aligned optical subassembly (OSA) using 54.7° mirrors of a silicon optical bench (SiOB)
and a 57° angled fiber array for a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL). This OSA is very cost-effective
because the OSA was fabricated by only one-axis alignment along the V-groove's direction and flip-chip-bonding the
VCSEL. In addition, this paper describes a 2.5-Gbps x 12-channels parallel optical transmitter module fabricated with
the OSA.
