    Instructions for exhibitors participating in the Marketplace

    Exhibitors — Engage, promote, and connect in the Digital Marketplace

    These platforms are part of the SPIE Digital Forum experience. Get the best engagement with attendees: take time to learn more about these tools. Don't miss an opportunity to share your company's products and services. 

       • SPIE Conference App: Access and enjoy everything happening in the Digital Forum. 
     
       • SPIE Connect: A new live one-to-one chat and networking option that allows attendees to connect with exhibitors via text, audio, and video chats. Lead retrieval reports are available to exhibitors through this platform. 
     
       • Slack: A channel-based, group conversational platform, used for questions and commenting during the SPIE Digital Forum. A dedicated channel will be set up for each exhibitor product demo video so that you can answer attendee questions. 

       • Zoom: A virtual conferencing tool.  

    Read the steps below to further learn about the opportunity for using these platforms during the Digital Forum and Marketplace.

    1. Customize your listing through your Exhibitor Dashboard

    Exhibitors may choose between a basic listing or an enhanced listing. These listings appear both online and in the event app.

    Choose the listing that meets your marketing needs, and then upload art and copy via the Exhibitor Dashboard.

    2. Upload product demonstration video (Enhanced listings only)

       •

    For those with an enhanced listing, submit the title of your demonstration.

       • You will be given a "paper number" for your video, and this will be important for you to reference when you upload the video.

       •

    Instructions will be sent regarding how to upload your demonstration video. 

       • Download the PDF (coming soon) for instructions on uploading demonstration videos. 

    3. Promote your involvement with the Digital Forum

       • Announce your participation on social media. Download our social media tip sheet
       •

    Add a personalized signature footer to your emails and include your exhibitor listing URL. Download the event logo and a footer graphic for your emails to link to your listing page. 

       •
    Invite customers to visit your page and the Digital Marketplace. Download and send a customizable e-postcard to your customers.

    4. Register for the Digital Marketplace for free

    All exhibitor staff need to register to participate in the Digital Marketplace — either a free Marketplace registration or a paid conference registration, which also includes access to the Marketplace. A paid conference registration is required to attend the live events, as well view all techical papers, posters, and presentations.

    5. Network with attendees in many ways

     • Sign up for SPIE.Connect, a free service that is part of your listing. 

    When the Digital Forum and Marketplace opens, attendees who are signed in will be able to connect with you via text, audio, and video. All contact and chat transcripts are downloadable.

     • Group messaging through Slack

    Slack is a channel-based messaging platform. Anyone registered for the event and signed in to their SPIE account can comment on all papers, posters, presentations, and product demonstrations during the event using their SPIE event Slack account. Learn more at the How to Participate page.

    The Slack logo and links appear with every part of the program that has commenting enabled, including each product demonstration video:

     • Attend live events in Zoom

    With a paid conference registration, you will have access to all live activities, where you can collaborate with colleagues and engage with new customers. Live events will be happening throughout the week. You will see this icon associated with any scheduled, live events:

     

    For plenary and technical events that have already occurred, any presentation recordings will be made available, and the link below will display. 

    6. Access lead retreival

    During and after the event: Retrieve your qualified lead reports from your Exhibitor Dashboard and SPIE.Connect.*

    *Lead retrieval reports are available through your Exhibitor Dashboard and SPIE.Connect. These reports identify attedees who have clicked on your exhibitor listing. Detailed chat transcripts will only be downloadable through SPIE.Connect. All leads can be downloaded into an Excel docuement.
