FAQs for Author and Presenter Participation

During the forum, participants from the global photonics community will watch presentations and read proceedings papers. There is also an opportunity to post questions for author response. The forum offers a rich exchange of research and advancements, made accessible via the SPIE Digital Library.

There is no fee to participate in SPIE Future Sensing Technologies 2020 Digital Forum. Our goal is to keep the Future Sensing Technologies community together, sharing the important research that will help to improve the global condition for everyone.

Authors will submit abstracts before 31 July 2020, and Conference Chairs will notify all authors of their standing in the program by 2 September 2020. Presenting authors will then prepare their presentations and manuscripts for upload.

Recording your presentation is straightforward through your account.

During the forum 9 - 13 November 2020, authors will be expected to check in at least once per day to answer posted questions about their presentations and papers. We encourage authors to post comments and questions to colleagues’ presentations.

30 October 2020: Please review your work carefully. Be sure to check visual and sound quality before uploading.

    9 - 13 November 2020

We will publish your proceedings manuscripts and make them available during Digital Forum week if received by 30 October.

Once received and approved, all presentations will be included in the SPIE Digital Library, organized by conference proceedings section, and available through search. After the Digital Forum is finished, presentations and manuscripts will continue to be available to all registrants and subscribing institutions via the SPIE Digital Library.

Please contact your SPIE Conference Proceedings Coordinator, Kirsten Anderson, to coordinate requests for late submissions.

If you are unable to participate and need to withdraw your paper, please contact your SPIE Conference Proceedings Coordinator, Kirsten Anderson.
