Coronavirus and Traveling to Beijing, China
SPIE and COS are closely monitoring the international travel situation with regard to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and Chinese National Health Commission.
At this time, CDC recommends that travelers avoid all nonessential travel to China. The duration of this notice is unknown. We are continuing to plan with the expectation that travel advisories will be updated to allow for international exchange.
Following this guidance, SPIE/COS Photonics Asia is scheduled to take place as planned.
SPIE is taking precautions to ensure our event facilities are adequately stocked with hand sanitizing dispensers and that facilities are on high alert to maintain a hygienic environment and general cleanliness.
SPIE will always strive to provide a safe environment and world-class event experience for all our attendees. We encourage you to participate in our events as scheduled.
We will continue to monitor the CDC, WHO, and Chinese National Health Commission guidelines and will update this page as needed.
