    Beware of Unofficial Housing Solicitations

Please note that the hotels above are providers for The Australian and New Zealand Conferences on Optics and Photonics - ANZCOP 2019 in Melbourne, Australia on behalf of SPIE. They would not be calling you to make reservations. Be cautious of anyone that contacts you offering hotel rooms, as they are not affiliated with SPIE.

Other entities not endorsed by SPIE and having no control of our contracted hotel rooms may be calling potential attendees to solicit you to book hotel rooms, often claiming that the room block or city is about sold out and you need to act quickly. DO NOT enter into any hotel reservation transaction with any organization that solicits you by phone or cannot verify in writing they are one of the hotels contracted with SPIE above. These other "unofficial" entities have been known to have aggressive selling tactics, probably would not refund your money, and have been known to sell rooms that they don't even have - that is, when you go to check into your hotel the hotel does not have your reservations and you end up with no room and no way to get your money back.
