Most orders will be processed within two business days from receipt of your order.
Payment must be received before we can begin processing your order, either by credit card for online and faxed orders, or by check, money order, or credit card for mail-in orders.
When you order online, you will receive an email confirmation when your order has been successfully received.
You will receive an automated email from SPIE providing you a link to access the course upon purchase. No shipping or delivery charges apply.
(United States shipping includes Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.)
Standard:
FedEx Ground: for delivery to your street address only; adds 5 percent to your total order. FedEx Ground is not available for Puerto Rico. Packages shipped by this method should reach you within 7–10 business days from the date of your order. A tracking number is available by contacting customerservice@spie.org, or by calling SPIE Customer Service at +1 360 676 3290.
Fourth Class Mail: for delivery to a P.O. Box, or to your street address; adds 5 percent to your total order. Packages shipped by this method should reach you within three weeks from the date of your order. No tracking number is available to track your order.
Express shipping:
FedEx Express: for delivery to your street address only, adding $15 to your total order, plus 25 percent. Please allow one full business day to process your order. If you place your order on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, it will be processed on the next business day (Monday). Orders placed on any holiday observed by SPIE will be processed on the next business day.
General information about international shipments
We accept orders from nearly every country in the world. Payment must be made in US dollars, either by an international credit card for online orders; or by check, international money order, or bank wire, payable in US dollars for mail-in orders.
Please keep in mind that packages shipped outside of the United States may take 4–6 weeks or longer because of the additional distance and the time it takes for your package to clear customs.
Also, shipments outside the US may be subject to additional charges by local governments, such as General Services Tax (GST) or Value Added Tax (VAT), as well as customs duties. These charges vary by country and the size of your order and are assessed by the respective governmental agency. These charges are in addition to the shipping and handling charges shown below.
Standard shipping — international
ISAL (International Surface Air Lift): this is standard international shipping, via US Fourth Class Mail to your country's postal system. Add 10 percent to your total order.
Express shipping — international
International Priority: for delivery to your street address only. You will receive your packages via air delivery. Please allow one full business day to process your order and 3–5 business days for delivery. Add 35 percent to your total order.
