Dr. Yahya Bougdid

Yahya Bougdid, Ph.D. in Optics and Photonics, is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics, University of Central Florida, USA. He got his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Sciences, Mohammed V University in Rabat, in collaboration with: MAScIR Foundation, the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation, and Research, and the Laboratory for Scientific Instrumentation and Engineering (LaSIE), Osaka University, Osaka, Japan. His Ph.D. research was focused on 3D micro-nanofabrication by two-photon absorption (2PA) (2PP assisted 3D laser nano-printing) in photoresists combining nonlinear optics of 2PA, materials science, and optical technology. He contributed to building 2PP laser micro-nanofabrication technology in Morocco (from 2016 to 2020). He was the first student able to fabricate micro-sized structures with sub-micron resolution using 2PP lithography and to work on such a technology (2PP printing) in the African continent. His current research is focused on: Laser Additive Manufacturing: Materials and Laser Micro-Nano-processing, Laser Sintering, Laser Doping, Laser-Assisted Nano-Electrospray Deposition of Nanoparticles (NPs), NPs Deposition for Solar Cell Applications; and Laser Deposition of Transparent TiO2 Films for Advanced Optics Applications.
