Profile Summary

Dr. Sungsik Lee is currently an associate professor at the Department of Electronics, Pusan National University, Pusan, Republic of Korea, since 2017. He received his Ph.D. from the University College London (UCL), London, United Kingdom, in 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, he worked as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, United Kingdom. His area of expertise is semiconductor devices and physics for futuristic electronics, such as neuromorphic circuits and systems. So far, he has published over 80 articles in the field, including a paper published in the Science magazine about the ‘almost-off transistor’ as the first author. He is a winner of the IEEE EDS PhD student fellowship 2011. Recently, he was awarded the Best Teaching Prize 2017 from the Korean Society for Engineering Education (KSEE), Republic of Korea.
