Profile Summary

Dr. Shaolong Gong received his Ph.D. in materials physics and chemistry from Wuhan University in 2012. After working at University of Toronto as a postdoctoral fellow with advisor Professor Zheng-Hong Lu and Datong Song , he joined the faculty of Wuhan University as an associate professor in 2014. His research interests are centered on the molecular design and synthesis of innovative, functional materials for applications in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic photovoltaics (OPVs). The focus of his current research is on constructing new-generation organic emitters for OLEDs, understanding the relationship between molecular structure and optoelectronic properties, and developing device architectures that optimize optoelectronic performance. He has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater. and Adv. Funct. Mater. etc.
