I am PhD scholar at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan and currently doing research in quantum optics. I became interested in this field because the optical world has long been the perfect playground for exploring quantum mechanics. Studying the systems, from nano-meter to microscopic scale, is such a fascinating thing which provides me an inspiration to make my career in it and to adopt it as a field of research. I got involved in this field way back, during my master's and still is a part of it in my PhD but, branching it out to different directions.
Now a days, I am working on Quantum optics, a field of research that deals with the application of quantum mechanics to phenomena involving light and its interactions with matter. One of the main goals is to understand the quantum nature of information and to learn how to formulate, manipulate, and process it using physical systems that operate on quantum mechanical principles. The reason of choosing this field as my research area is that it’s a diversified field and one can extend it to different domains relating different fields of physics.
