Miguel Altuve (IEEE S'01-M'12) received the B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from the National Experimental University of the Armed Forces in Maracay, Venezuela, in 2002, the M.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from Simon Bolivar University, Caracas, Venezuela, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in signal processing and telecommunications from the University of Rennes 1, Rennes, France, in 2011. From 2005 to 2015, he was with Simon Bolivar University (Assistant Professor in 2007, Aggregate Professor in 2011). He is currently an Associate Professor of Electronics Engineering at Pontifical Bolivarian University, Bucaramanga, Colombia. His research interests include biomedical signal processing, time series analysis and machine learning. Dr. Altuve is a reviewer of many international journals (IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, Digital Signal Processing: a Review Journal, Medical \& Biological Engineering \& Computing) and conferences in biomedical engineering (IEEE EMBC, SIPAIM, CLAIB, BIOVEN). He was recognized as the Latin America Geographic Finalist at the EMBC 2006 Student Paper Competition.
