I have been in the optics industry for a decade, helping customers meet their optical component and coatings needs. What started as a part-time office assistant position quickly grew into something more. I would be a career student if I could afford to, but with 4 kids, the optics industry is a perfect alternative because there is always more to learn and the technology is ever-changing. After a year of part-time office work for the United States' first thin film coating company, I started working full-time, running a coating chamber for half my day. I like to know the whole process flow, so there were days I would take an order in the morning, literally make the parts in the afternoon and ship them myself the very same day! This gave me the solid foundation I have in the optical coatings world.

When I left my previous position after nearly a decade, one of the best compliments I received was from the Senior Director of Supply Chain at one of the biggest optical catalog companies in the world saying that I would be missed because I "really understood {their} business needs and when {I} didn't, {I} took the time to understand {them} in order to provide top notch service." I look forward to providing you with the same level of support!
