AGC Plasma Technology Solutions is a new Business Unit within AGC. The aim is to make the coating technologies used within the glass industry available to a broad range of other industries f.e. plastics, metals, powders, ... The main technologies are magnetron sputtering, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition and ion implantation.
AGC Plasma has a demonstration center in Lauenförde, Germany with several pilot installations to make product prototypes and process optimization. In addition, the AGC Innovation Center in Gosselies, Belgium gives access to advanced material characterization tools.
Once the proof of concept is done, AGC Plasma can design and manufacture the equipment for mass production. Hence AGC Plasma is a one-stop provider of all services for quickly upscaling innovative vacuum plasma coating technologies from the idea till an industrial process.
