Justus Ndukaife is currently a PhD candidate in the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University, USA. He holds a BSc degree with First Class honors from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and MSc from Purdue University, USA, all in Electrical Engineering. Currently he conducts research at the interface between Nanophotonics, Plasmonics and Microfluidics with emphasis on novel Lab-on-a-Chip devices for dynamic control, trapping, positioning and on-chip sensing of nanoscale objects. Justus Ndukaife is a co-inventor of four related technologies with patent pending in the United States. He received the 2016 Purdue College of Engineering Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award, the NSBE Golden Torch Award as the “Graduate Student of the Year” (2015), and Best Paper Award at the ASME Society-Wide Micro and Nanotechnology Forum. Among his other honors include invited presentations at the 2016 Gordon Research Seminar on Plasmonics and Nanophotonics and at the 2015 SPIE Optics and Photonics Conference. He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. Justus Ndukaife has also served as the President of the Nanotechnology Student Advisory Council (NSAC) at the Birck Nanotechnology Center and the Purdue student chapter of the Optical Society of America (OSA). He is a technical reviewer for Optics Letters, Optics Express, and Nature Scientific Reports.
