His work focuses on parallel algorithms and their efficient implementation on modern parallel hardware. In this context, many concepts from the fields of integer programming, graph theory and discrete mathematics in general are used in his solutions. Besides automatic parallelization and optimization techniques as well as innovative hardware architectures he has a special focus on many core parallelism for HPC accelerators like GPUs. Dustin Feld has obtained his diploma degree in Applied Mathematics minoring in Computer Science at the University of Cologne with emphasis on discrete mathematics, numerical mathematics and integer linear programming.
