Functionalized fiber optic probe for ethylene sensing

Abstract

Present study aims to monitor artificial fruit ripening by detecting ethylene gas using sensing material integrated optical fiber probe. Here optical fiber acts as sensor probe as well as waveguide to launch and collect light.

Shwinky received the Masters degree in Physics (Nanoscience &technology) from Punjabi University, Patiala, India, in 2018. She worked as a Project Fellow in Central Scientific Instrument Organization (CSIO),Chandigarh, India (2018-2020). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree with the Academy of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR),India. She is an active member of SPIE CSIO Chandigarh student chapter since 2018. Her research interests includes integrating different nanomaterials on fiber optic platform for various sensing applications.
