Quantum technologies – such as quantum sensing, quantum networking, and quantum computing – are increasingly moving from academic R&D into mainstream industry. Companies from IBM to Intel to Nvidia – and beyond – are investing significant time and money to bring quantum technologies to market.

Integrated photonics are playing a critical role in the industrialization of quantum technologies and have been responsible for driving several recent advancements (e.g. see this recent demonstration of quantum computational advantage realized in a programmable photonic processor).
