Integrated Photonics for Quantum Technologies: Challenges and Prospects
1 February 2024 • 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM PST | Moscone Center, Expo Stage, Hall DE (Exhibit Level)
Quantum technologies – such as quantum sensing, quantum networking, and quantum computing – are increasingly moving from academic R&D into mainstream industry. Companies from IBM to Intel to Nvidia – and beyond – are investing significant time and money to bring quantum technologies to market.
Integrated photonics are playing a critical role in the industrialization of quantum technologies and have been responsible for driving several recent advancements (e.g. see this recent demonstration of quantum computational advantage realized in a programmable photonic processor). However, challenges remain in the design and development of quantum-enabled products that can both meet system objectives and be manufactured at scale.
In this industry panel, Dylan McGuire from Ansys will host senior technologists from companies focused on developing next-generation quantum devices in a roundtable discussion of these recent advancements and remaining challenges. It will be an insightful and thought-provoking conversation that you do not want to miss!
