American National Optics Standards Meetings at Photonics West

Meetings of the American National Standards committees for general optics (ASC OP) are scheduled for February 2 and 3, 2014 in conjunction with the SPIE Photonics West symposium in San Francisco.

All are welcome to attend.

Standards for Optical Glass, Optical Imperfections, Drawing Notations, Wavefronts, and Infrared Material will be discussed during open committee meetings at the Intercontinental Hotel. Check the OEOSC website for times and places (

Additionally, short courses on Scratch-and-Dig standards, and Inspection will be presented as part of the 70 courses sponsored by SPIE at the Conference.

The OEOSC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the administration of American committees that prepare American National Standards (ANS) and that represent American interests at the International Standards Organization (ISO) in the fields of optics and electro-optics.
