Developments in Optics and Communications

Every year since 2004, around 80 students and young scientists from Lativa and other European countries have come together to Riga, the capital of Latvia, to share their research, discuss new ideas and make new connections during the annual international student and young scientist conference, "Development in Optics and Communications".

The purpose of the conference is to bring together young scientists and students working in the field of optics and photonics to share their ideas for research and to establish contacts for future collabortation. The organizers encourage students to present their BSc, MSc or PhD thesis.

The five sections of the conference are: Biophotonics, Laser Physics and Spectroscopy, Optical Materials and Phenomena, Optics in Communication, and Vision Science.

We welcome students from all over the world to participate in the 11th conference "Developments in Optics and Communications" that will be held April 8-10, 2015. Visit www.docriga.lv to learn more about the previous conferences and to look for information about DOC 2015 (more information about next year's conference should appear October, 2014).

Don't miss your opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Riga!
