Join SPIE Student Services in San Diego this summer for Optics + Photonics. This is our most student-focused conference and 2011 promises to be a monumental year of activities. The week kicks off on Saturday, August 20 witih the Student Chapter Leadership Workshop (SCLW). Now in its 10th year, the SCLW is expected to be larger than ever with close to 200 students from SPIE chapters in over 30 countries. In addition, we'll welcome back SCLW alumni from the last decade.
The two-day workshop is open to all SPIE student chapter members and will address several chapter management issues and frustrations on day one. A panel discussion on career pathways and professional skills workshops start the day on Sunday, giving students time to examine their career and focus on specific learning areas. These events lead into a lunchtime keynote talk.
