SPIE posters on light-based technologies have begun appearing on the set of the TV series “The Big Bang Theory.”

Posters on biophotonics and nanotechnology were shown in an episode of season 6 in  November 2012 on CBS stations. Other posters donated to the show are expected to appear in later episodes in 2013.

The SPIE posters are free to educators and others interested in increasing awareness of optics and photonics. Go to spie.org/posters or send an email to pascale@spie.org.

In addition to biophotonics and nanotechnology, SPIE educational posters cover topics such as lasers in medicine, imaging, infrared radiation, and lithography.
