Special Consideration Membership

As an international society, SPIE recognizes the need for a dues structure in geographic areas where salary levels for qualifying engineers and scientists may be an obstacle to Membership and full participation in the Society.

Therefore, the SPIE Membership Committee and SPIE Board of Directors approved a special category of Membership for individuals residing in countries that are eligible for special economic consideration, as selected by the World Bank. List located below.

Special consideration Membership includes full SPIE benefits and privileges, such as voting and the ability to run for office.
