The objective of this workshop is to update the SPIE Physics of Medical Imaging community on the latest development of the rapidly advancing photon-counting CT (PC-CT) technology. Over the past two decades, the Physics of Medical Imaging conference has seen a growing number of presentations on PC-CT detectors, material decomposition methods, image reconstruction and novel clinical applications of PC-CT. At this workshop, experts in the field will provide an overview of the current status and future directions of PC-CT.
