6 months prior to event:
- Submit course proposal for consideration.
- Work with course coordinator to refine proposal as needed, based on feedback from SPIE technical staff.
4 months prior to event:
- Receive formal invitation and Instructor Agreement from SPIE.
- Confirm course schedule with Course Coordinator.
- Report non-standard AV equipment requests.
3 months prior to event:
- Check Advance Program (on spie.org) for course description accuracy. (Date, time, description of content, instructor biography, etc.)
- Request any needed audiovisual equipment on Instructor Agreement.
No later than 1 month prior to event:
- Submit course note master to the Course Materials Coordinator. SPIE requires the signed contract in hand prior to issuing honoraria.
- Submit a brief quiz for the course to assess attainment of learning outcomes.
Upon arrival at the event:
- Pick up your badge and event materials in the onsite Registration area. As an instructor, you will be automatically registered for the event.
- Check in at the Course Materials desk to learn the location of your course, receive a list of your pre-registered students, and review a copy of your Course Notes for accuracy.
- Arrive at the course room at least 30 minutes prior to the course start to allow adequate time for setup.
- Present course and allow structured time for students to complete evaluations and quizzes.
