SPIE Photonics West hightlights

Lighting the way into the future
As the world comes together to address the global COVID pandemic, the optics and photonics community is providing impressive support, from innovative research to company responses. A new COVID-19 research application track, gathering important photonics research and technologies that address the pandemic is part of the current Call for Papers. SPIE will make this cutting-edge and necessary research part of the 2021 program.

Although the business impact of the global situation has been significant, the responses from the photonics industry have been swift and range from charitable funding initiatives to being part of solutions for patient testing. The optics and photonics community can be proud of the important work that is surfacing to meet the challenge in front of us.
