SPIE Photonics Europe 2020 FAQs

The SPIE Photonics Europe Digital Forum is taking place this week. During the forum, participants from the global photonics community will watch presentations and read manuscripts. There is also an opportunity to post questions for author response. The forum offers a rich exchange of research and advancements, made accessible via the SPIE Digital Library online platform.

Below please find answers to frequently asked questions. Additional questions? Contact customerservice@spie.org

How does the Digital Forum work?

Navigating the Forum

Go to the conferences page and browse the online conference programme, consisting of 6 tracks and 27 conferences. Click on a topic of interest to view individual paper listings.

Each session with a Digital Forum presentation and/or Proceedings paper is indicated by a grey bar that says “Watch this presentation and discuss in the Digital Forum on the SPIE Digital Library”.

The link takes you to a detailed page for that session where you can watch the presentation or read the Proceedings paper and post questions to the authors.

All sessions accepted into the original SPIE Photonics Europe 2020 programme are listed. Not all authors were able to provide a presentation or manuscript to the Digital Forum. Some manuscripts are still being submitted for the Proceedings, which will be available 10-14 days after the forum ends.

Please disregard dates and times associated with conferences and papers, these are elements of the live in-person meeting that we cannot disable.

All presentations that are part of the forum are available anytime 6-10 April. Watch at your own pace and on your own schedule!

Please contact scottc@spie.org

Commenting

Commenting is located on the presentation page directly below the video presentation. You must be signed in to your SPIE account (or create one) for the comment feature to appear. If you do not see the comment feature, go to the top of the page and find the blue box with a link to sign in.

Tip: Click the "Keep me signed in" box to avoid needing to sign in multiple times.

At this time, there is no notification feature. You will need to check back to find comments.

You are identified by your SPIE account and your name will be visible to authors and others viewing the presentation or comments.

SPIE moderates all comments posted. We encourage robust discussion consistent with scholarly norms and SPIE standards. Read the Comment Policy.

Please send the paper number and information about the inappropriate comment (screenshots may be included) to spiedlsupport@spie.org
