SPIE and our event partners aim to provide the safest event possible for all attendees. Together, we can ensure everyone’s safety and comfort as we reconnect in a reopened world. All event participants are expected to understand and follow the simple safe-event requirements.

We know that travelling and attending a conference under the current conditions will be a different experience for everyone. SPIE will do our part to ensure your health and safety while attending the conference. Please remember to take care of yourself and take the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe.

What are SPIE and our partners doing to keep you safe?

We are following local mandates and government guidance in Rochester:

  • Following guidance on masks or face coverings as mandated by the state of New York and the U.S. Center for Disease Control
  • Implementing enhanced sanitation measures throughout the event
  • Providing a low-touch registration check-in process
  • Inserting additional space between exhibit booths
  • Guaranteeing that all SPIE staff on site will be fully vaccinated
  • Making masks and hand sanitizers widely available

What can you do to keep everyone safe?

While participating in this event:

  • Do not attend if you are not feeling well
  • Follow local health guidance
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Be mindful of other attendees’ comfort levels
  • Masks are required for non-vaccinated participants
  • Masks are optional for fully vaccinated participants*
*By not wearing a mask you are certifying that you have been fully vaccinated.
