*Digital Forum presentations will be available on spie.org for 2 weeks, the week of the event and the week following.

**Paid attendees will have ongoing access to the one selected Proceedings volume.

Digital Marketplace

It is free to attend the Digital Marketplace, but registration is required for both visitors and company representatives.

Only one registration is needed per person, either the free Digital Marketplace and industry session registration or a paid Digital Forum conference registration (which includes access to the Digital Marketplace).

All registrations of the 2021 event include access to the Digital Marketplace to view company listings, watch videos and demonstrations, live chat with company representatives, and more.


Course Information

Courses are priced separately and prices include applicable taxes. 

SPIE is offering online courses that align with conference topics and can be added to your Digital Forum registration for a 10% discount. Discounts will be automatically applied when you register.

SPIE Members receive an additional 15% discount (combined total discount 25%) and SPIE Student Members receive an additional 50% discount (combined total discount 60%) on courses.

Course registration includes slideshow presentations, quizzes, supplemental resources, digital certificate. Gain immediate access for one year from date of purchase. 

Already registered? You can still access the course discounts by using the 'Education Only' option when in the registeration window.


SPIE Member, SPIE Student Member, and Student Pricing

SPIE Members receive conference and course registration discounts. Discounts are applied at the time of registration.

SPIE Student Members receive a 50% discount on all courses.

Student authors and presenters may register at the student rate as long as they meet the definition of a student.

Student registration rates are available only to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full time and have not yet received their Ph.D. Post-docs may not register as students. A student ID number or proof of student status is required with your registration.

Refund Information
There is a $50 USD service charge for processing refunds. Requests for refunds must be received by 8 April 2021; all registration fees will be forfeited after this date. Membership dues, SPIE Digital Library subscriptions, online courses, or Special Events purchased are not refundable.


U.S. Government Credit Cards
U.S. Government credit card users: have your purchasing officer contact the credit card company and get prior authorization before attempting to register. Advise your purchasing agent that SPIE is considered a 5968 company for authorization purposes.

Digital Forum Registration FAQs

Download and fill out the PDF registration form (link above). Email or fax the form to SPIE Customer Service for an invoice and bank details (contact information is on the form).

Use the PDF to complete registrations for individuals or multiple people where you don't have login information for their account/s. If paying by credit card, fill out the PDF for each person and send the form(s) to SPIE customer service (contact information is on the form).

Registered attendees will receive an email receipt upon registration payment. Contact SPIE Customer Service, help@spie.org if you do not receive your receipt. 

To receive an Attendance (Participants) Certificate please contact Lisa Love, Lisa@spie.org and she will process your request.

For all paid registrants, there will be two weeks of access to all the technical content, during the Digital Forum week and the week following. Paid conference registrants will have the opportunity to select their one Proceedings volume and will then have ongoing access to it on the SPIE Digital Library after the digital forum. 

Online courses can be added to your Digital Forum registration with an additional fee. Please see the event Course page for more information. 

Upon completion of an SPIE online course, you will receive a digital certificate. You must complete the quiz for each module with a score of at least 90% and complete the evaluation form at the end of the course to receive your certificate. After successful completion, a certificate will be emailed to you.

Yes. Company representatives require registration. You can register for either the free Digital Marketplace or a paid conference registration to access the full Digital Forum.

Yes. Invited presentations require registration. Before you can upload your presentation, you will need to register.

Yes, the Contact Author or Speaker of the presentation must be registered for the Digital Forum before you upload your presentation.

No, one registration will cover you for all the papers you may be presenting. 

Since there will be no travel necessary for the Digital Forum, we are instead offering conference registration fee waivers.
