Review SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation 2018

Looking back to envision the future

As a biennial event, SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation was last hosted in Austin, Texas, USA in 2018. More than 2,500 physicists, researchers, engineers, and authors participated in multiple ways:

Observatories from around the world shared updates, both in-space and on-land, on groups’ research, achievements, construction and operational project progress, and visioning for further advancements yet to come.
Plenaries provided the basis for inspiring conversations that lasted throughout the five-day conference.
A packed room showed the support for gender and diversity inclusion in a rapidly advancing industry that extends across the globe.
