Don Snyder receives Fellowship from the US Air Force Research Laboratory

SPIE Fellow Don Snyder, Principal Scientist for the Munitions Directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), has been selected as an AFRL Fellow.

The AFRL Fellows Program recognizes the laboratory's most outstanding scientists and engineers exceptional career accomplishments in research and development. Selection as an AFRL Fellow is the laboratory's highest award. The selection rate is restricted to 0.2 percent of the professional technical staff per year and 4 percent total. Fellows status is a lifetime award. Snyder is recognized for his major scientific impacts across the field of laser and spectrometer based sensing.

Snyder has been symposium chair, conference chair, and program committee member for numerous conferences at SPIE events spanning almost 20 years of service to the Society. He has authored more than 40 papers for SPIE and has been a Fellow of SPIE since 2000.
