Paper Abstract
Autonomous real-time navigation system can be organized into four hierarchical layers, which are presented in this paper. Path planning and kinematic path generation, two A.I.-based processes, are described with emphasis on their heuristics. The software implementation allows real-time obstacle avoidance, whose results are discussed.
