Paper Abstract

F.Weigert first described the effectoccording to which some media become anisotropic,if they are exposed to linearly polarized light! The new impulse to the study of Weigert-effect in different media contributed to the development of laser technique and polarization holography, for whose material realization it is necessary to use photoanisotropic media:3 Our interest to the basis of organic dyes is explained by their granularitiless,by the possibility of achieving high values of diffraction efficiency by comparatively high sensitivity and by the relative simplicity of receiving layers.
