Photoinduced Chemical Changes in Vacuum-deposited Amorphous Ge-Se-Tl Films

Paper Abstract

Discussed are the conditions of sublimation and condensation of the films from Ge-Se-TI glasses and the composition of the obtained films. They are irradiated for 10 minutes with a mercury lamp after which, depending on the glass composition and irradiation intensity, a shift of the absorption edge towards the longer wavelengths is observed. The kinetic curve for dissolution with sodium hydroxide and sodium sulphide show a negative effect of the photoexcited dissolution. This effect is changed to positive after annealing.
