Paper Abstract

A gamma ray detector system, originally designed for the GRASP gamma ray telescope satellite, is being developed. It has the ability to determine the position of a single photon interaction in one plane to an accuracy of 15 mm, and with a precision of <20 mm FWHM in the third dimension. The total sensitive area of the GRASP detector is 1859 cm 2 .
