Paper Abstract

A real-time digital scene based focusing algorithm, which will be implemented on the Honeywell FUR is described. Focus merit functions (FMF) which are optimal for Honeywell FUR imagery are examined. The algorithm was tested by demonstrating its capability to focus on a static scene.
