Paper Abstract
The method of measurement of the attenuation for planar waveguades with metal cover has been presented. The attenuation is found by comparison of the intensity of light leakaged from planar waveguide before and after covered part of waveguide. The method was chequed for the glass waveguide with aluminium cover and the results were in a good agreement with theoretical predictions published previously.
