Paper Abstract
We report a significent improvement of the No laser by a wire dc preionisation . The energy generation, pulse to pulse stability and pulse duration have been studied as function of charge voltage and gas pressure . The preionisation was found to increase the energy from 2 to 5 times, depending on the charge voltage and gas pressure. Pulse duration increased by 50%. Simultanously, the instability decrease up to 3 times.
