Paper Abstract

The design and breadboard of a very compact,f/1, CO2 laser receiver lens are described. This optical system has been developed to fit a small CO2 laser range-finder. Lenses are assembled in a fast, economical, self-centering technique. The first prototype has been tested by means of a CO2 laser interferometer. Fringes have been analyzed by a numerical program that allows comparison between the realized and designed lens. Results of the analysis will be presented.
