Paper Abstract

Simulation of the full-field speckle probing with the improved depth resolution of spatially heterogeneous stratified inhomogeneous media was performed. The concept of improved depth resolution is based on the application of strongly localized source of probe light (i.e., the sharply focused laser beam) and the collection of multiple scattered probe light with ring-like apertures of different radii. The numerical simulation is focused on reconstruction of the probe pulse response in the case of point-like or long inclusions at the given depth (which is related to the Green function of the light diffusion equation in an inhomogeneous medium). This can give the potential for reconstruction of the depth distributions of scatter mobility and concentration on the base of analysis of speckle correlometric data.
