Paper Abstract
Vibration errors of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) affect its application performance directly. According to the Y
waveguide integrated optical modulator, and based on the piezoelectricity characteristic of LiNbO3 crystal, the affixed
voltage caused by vibration was analyzed theoretically. The expression between the vibrating acceleration and the
voltage produced on the electrode of waveguide was conducted. At the same time, in accordance with the Pockels effect,
the phase error caused by the voltage in the interferometer was achieved. Vibration errors, caused by vibrating
accelerations which is single frequency, were simulated by computer. The conclusion that the error caused by
piezoelectricity is one of the vibration errors is achieved.
